“Aspire Recruitment changed my life for the better!”- Anna’s story

Anna Fafara-Balde came to the UK from Poland 5 years ago, and her working experience was mostly in hospitality, predominantly in hotel work. After losing her job, Anna wasn’t sure what to do next. After getting in touch with Aspire Recruitment, however, things began to turn around.

Anna originally joined with Aspire Recruitment to get more training and to find work. She showed an interest in joining Aspire’s recruitment drive for the Etihad Stadium vaccination station. Anna went through intensive training to be able to deliver Vaccinations, with additional online training modules studying Safeguarding and how to spot radicalisation. With all the training she went through, Anna was able to excel in her role as a Vaccination assistant, in a job she loved.

She loved her team, she loved the job, she loved caring for people and seeing new people each day. With her transferable people skills from her hospitality background, mixed with her new medical training, Anna thrived in the role, and from what she tells us, her life changed from that moment.

“My job role at the Etihad was one of the best jobs I’ve ever had. It was great experience, amazing people, the staff were great and everyone was so happy. It didn’t even really feel like work, and I had the satisfaction that comes from knowing I was doing something amazing, with an amazing team. “

Following this role, Anna was able to apply for a wider variety of roles than she had previously, with the medical training she was given, she was able to interview for the NHS, and they were so impressed with her, that they’ve asked her back for the Autumn/Winter campaign.

Anna has had a fantastic shift in career- from unemployed and unsure what to do next, to a complete tangent into a job she loves in healthcare, supported all the way by Aspire Recruitment. We spoke with Anna about her experience:

“I can say that Aspire is an excellent agency. From the beginning to today, I’ve never had an issue with the communication, there was always someone to get in touch with over the phone, via email, and we’d also see staff in person sometimes too. “I’ve achieved some goals with Aspire, and I’ve gotten to help people- and it’s changed my career from working in hospitality to working in the NHS full-time, and I love it! I feel really lucky to have had the chance, my life has changed.”
