Tony’s apprenticeship ended, but his career with the Growth Company didn’t - thanks to Aspire

Tony Davies had previously been working for the Business Growth Hub as an Events and Communications Apprentice, when after 18 months the apprenticeship came to an end.
He then spent a month looking for other work but found himself unemployed. After working for the BGH team for so long and thriving in a work environment, it was difficult for Tony to then be unemployed and lose the security that comes with full time employment. He described being unemployed as "one of the worst experiences I have had to go through. Not only do you have to panic about money and bills, but the experience was incredibly unfulfilling."
Tony was keen to stay within The Growth Company and after being introduced to the Aspire team, very quickly found himself in a face-to-face meeting with Lydia, a recruitment consultant from Aspire. Lydia looked over his CV and worked out an action plan, introducing him to potential roles he could pursue, in and outside of group. She then put him forward for a number of roles.
A position became available within the Organisational Improvement team at The Growth Company and because Tony was registered and actively looking with Aspire, they were able to put him forward for an interview immediately.
The interview was successful and Tony was later appointed as a Client Engagement Coordinator for Organisational Improvement, working within the IIP team. When discussing his experience with Aspire Tony said “Aspire Recruitment provided me with comprehensive support and opportunities when I was worried about having a change in career. Lydia and the team at Aspire helped me find a role I truly enjoy, a fulfilling next step up from my apprenticeship.”
We caught up with Tony now he has settled into his new role and he said “I am really enjoying my new position, it’s challenging but very rewarding and interesting. I particularly like the autonomy that comes with the role and the fact that every day is different. The fact I could stay within group where I feel I can develop has made me really thankful to Aspire for presenting me with this opportunity, I feel very lucky.”
